Tip #1  Believe in Yourself:  I want to empower you.  You have greatness inside you, and are stronger, and more capable than you will ever know.  Everything you need to get started today lies within you.  Don’t delay and put off to get started until tomorrow, get up and make it happen today.  The longer you wait to start the harder it will be.  

Tip #2  Don’t Focus on Your Results:  I know this sounds counterintuitive, but stick with me.  We live in a fast paced world and we instant gratification and results, and what happens most of the time if we don’t see the scale change or our clothes still fit the same we get discouraged.  This is a very normal response and what normally happens after that?  Yup, you guessed it, we give up.  I don’t want this to happen to you.  It’s not that I don’t think results are important, however throughout this journey I want you to focus on taking positive daily actions toward your goals.  Listen if you are focused on taking daily action towards your goals day in and day out with your exercise and healthy nutrition your results are going to take care of themselves.  Just think how amazing you will feel after you put in 90 days of consistent action toward your goals.   So focus on moving one step closer to your goal weight and body day in and day out.  

Tip #3  Don’t go at it alone:  Starting this weight loss and fitness journey should be celebrated, so don’t keep it a secret.  Share, share, share what you are going through with your friends, family, and Facebook network.  This serves multiple purposes it lets others in on your journey and may inspire others, and it also helps to hold you accountable.  The more assistance and accountability you can round up the more likely you will stick with it and not give up.  You can also seek the assistance of a fitness and weight loss expert that can guide you through every step of your journey.

Tip #4  Utilize Technology:  This is a new tip that I’m now recommending to clients.  For the longest time I didn’t get the point or see the benefit of wearing a fitbit or iwatch.  That was before I received one as a gift, and now I totally see the value they provide.  Once I set my goals up into my watch I was motivated to move more and meet my daily step goals, I understood the benefit of wearing one.  If the watch does nothing more than encourage you to move more than its doing its job and providing value to your life and motivating you to move closer to your goals.  So I encourage you to utilize technology to keep you on track and hold you accountable.
